Climate Agenda

In the face of rapid climate change and the biodiversity crisis, the University of Warsaw has decided that its main educational and research mission is insufficient in the current situation. The Rector’s authorities, together with members of the academic community, have decided to prepare and implement a comprehensive plan to ensure that the operation of our university and the ongoing life on campuses will minimize the negative impact on the environment, but also prepare us to learn and work in the new, increasingly adverse environmental conditions.

“The Climate Change and Sustainable Development Agenda” outlined in the document below contains strategic “milestones” that we want to achieve in the coming years. It is a response to the clear and unambiguous position of science. It is also an attempt by the University to build a sustainable and resilient future for us and the coming generations – in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
