1CORE – One Comprehensive Research-Intensive European University

One Comprehensive Research European University (1CORE) is a 4EU+ Alliance project funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Programme. Among the alliance partners are the University of Warsaw, Heidelberg University, Charles University, University of Copenhagen, University of Milan, and Sorbonne University. The main goal of this year’s 1CORE project is to prepare an interdisciplinary educational offer, develop an innovative research approach, and support mobility, digital transformation, and sustainable development within the 4EU+ Alliance.

The University of Warsaw is the leader of Task 4.5 titled Disseminating the values of a green, digital and resilient 4EU+ Alliance. As part of its activities, UW and the 4EU+ Alliance partners, shall indicate key stakeholders for higher education who support green and digital transformation, identify existing initiatives to strengthen sustainability at the universities, and analyse the challenges faced by the 4EU+ Alliance partners.

The result of this task is the creation of a lively forum for knowledge exchange, where academic theory meets real-world challenges and solutions. By disseminating reliable, evidence-based knowledge on challenges such as climate change, the alliance counteracts misinformation and equips participants with the skills they need to act in an informed manner. Due to its nature and focus on global issues, this initiative naturally extends beyond university walls, building bridges between sectors and strengthening the collective potential for positive change.
